a year

one year since we've met. you came across the border to give yourself to me as a birthday present. we had a blast, felt in love forever, and didn't know that we have only 4 months of that blast.

you were skittish, but brave. you were cute as a basket of kittens, numbered seven. you were sexy as...well, sexier than anything i can compare you to, really. elegant, too.

but the image that is permanently burned into my head is when you woke up.
